about

In 2002, The Rodeo Circuit underwent some pretty hefty changes. Aaron Deal left to focus on his own band, For Progress and soon after Chris Brooks left to join Rude Buddah. Mike Grubb and Paul Vasquez soldiered on and recruited Shane Kanady on guitar and then Ken Aloisio on bass. The band rehearsed for less than a month and then went to Stairway West to record 'Outside the City'. The record was made over two weekends with the final mix done in May. The band would go on to record one more EP, but Grubb left the band and dissolved the group before it could be released that fall.
